F&S Outdoors specializes

Encino
Ranch
The Encino Ranch, consist of two separate
properties outside of Sonora, Texas in Sutton
County. Together, the two ranches total over
17,000 acres. This ranch has been under a
strict management plan for the last 7 years.
Each year this ranch is surveyed from a helicopter,
protein fed during the off-season and only
mature bucks are harvested each year. This
ranch is on the State MLD Program which means
rifle hunting begins in October and hunters
are able to use buck permits supplied by
the state rather than using their own tags.
Each year this ranch produces some 160-class
deer but the average harvest should be around
140. Based on the herd numbers, it is not
uncommon to see 5-15 different bucks so harvest
odds should be close to 100%.
